  • पीतिका :- Flowers are yellowish.
  • मिशी :- Stimulates digestion.
  • मधुरिका :- Contains madhur rasa.

Morphological Description :-

  • Tall perennial herbs having height 5-6 ft.
  • Leaves are pinnately compound.
  • Flowers :- Yellowish in colour, small &arranged in umbel inflorescence.
  • Fruit :- Cylindrical or oval in shape with entire pedicel attached.

Variety :-

According to shape, odour and rasa there are different types and subtypes of vanya and gramya mishreya. There are two main variety of mishreya :-

Chemical Constituents :-

Seed contains volatile oils like anethole and estragole.
